Connection Doctor — Internet Diagnosis

Anyone can show you a number. The Doctor reads it. One guided check-up measures everything, interprets the results like a specialist, and tells you the verdict, the likely causes and exactly what to fix.

Let's run a full check-up

One pass measures the seven vital signs of your connection. Then the Doctor explains what they mean and what to do.

How the diagnosis works

Four steps, one report

  1. 1

    Run the full panel

Download, upload, ping, jitter, packet loss, bufferbloat and DNS — measured in one guided pass.

  2. 2

    Plain-language verdict

What your line is great at, and where it struggles — in words, not just numbers.

  3. 3

    Likely causes

The probable culprits, ranked: bufferbloat, a crowded Wi-Fi channel, a router without SQM, your ISP.

  4. 4

    What to fix

Prioritised, practical steps — from a free setting to a smart upgrade, mapped to your result.

Multi-server measurement

We test against several endpoints and report stability, not a single lucky burst.

Open methodology

Every metric and its margins are documented on our measurement method page.

Honest about limits

Results vary with device, Wi-Fi and time of day. The Doctor gives probable causes — never guarantees.

FAQ

Common questions

How long does a full diagnosis take?

About 30–60 seconds. The Doctor runs the whole panel in one pass, then writes the report — you don't have to start each test by hand.

Is the diagnosis accurate?

We report ranges and stability rather than a single lucky burst, and we measure against multiple endpoints. Results still depend on your device, Wi-Fi and the time of day — see our measurement method for the limits.

Do I need an account or an install?

No. The check-up runs in your browser. Saving or sharing a report over time is a planned premium feature.

Why does my speed test look fine but calls and games stutter?

Because the headline number isn't the whole story. Latency under load (bufferbloat), jitter and packet loss are what break calls and competitive gaming — and they're exactly what the Doctor checks.
